Friday Foto Finder; Station

Here in Perth our suburban railway stations are being decorated with assorted pieces of urban art.

Sometimes it is difficult to work out the “what” and the “why” of these installations.

None more so than these giant speakers at the Victoria Park Station.

Friday Foto Finder; Wood

The Benedictine Community of New Norcia is the official title of the group of Roman Catholic monks who have owned and operated the small town of New Norcia, which is located 132km north of Perth in Western Australia, since 1847. New Norcia is Australia’s only monastic town, with the Monastery, where the monks live, work and pray, at its heart.

There are a number of the original farm labourers’ houses still left in this historic town. With walls of  wood, they have needed repair as did their shingled roofs and wooden rafters.

Please share your choice of WOOD with us.

Friday Foto Finder; Sea

The sea is always changing

Even when she is calm and inviting, there are reminders of her anger.

This seaside carpark has been brutally attacked.

A reminder to always take care for her mood changes are swift.

Which SEA will you find to show us in this week’s Foto Finder?
