A termite mound alone in the Australian desert, surrounded by spiky spinifex.
It decorated itself in an attempt to find a mate.
It didn’t work and it is still alone!
Note: Spinifex is a very spiky grass and is the termite’s main source of food. A single termite mound annually consumes as much grass as a cow. The yellow in the above image are the flower stalks which produce both seed for indigenous food and a heat setting wax which holds stone tips on hunting spears and axes.
What have you found that is alone?

Next week the challenge will be to find something to match the word “STREET”
