Frifay Foto Finder; White

In the desert one becomes accustomed to clear, bright skies.

Then a line of cloud can move in and that brightness becomes unbearable.

The sun on the leading edge of the cloud turns it into a  blindingly white band

At the time I took this photo I remember thinking it was all white.

Later I found that my eyes had deceived me and much of the cloud was tinged with grey.

What is the “White” you want to share?

Friday Foto Finder; Left

Out in the wheat-belt (now called the “Grain-belt” because the range of seed-grasses grown has become much more than just wheat) of Western Australia are many left-overs from days gone by.

This was once a railway station on a line which has left few traces in the landscape.

The farmers who used it have all left and now the scrub is reclaiming it.

Friday Foto Finder; Up

As we indulge in our daily retail therapy, we often concentrate on what is in front of us.

Here in Perth it is always worth the effort to look UP.

While the street level of our buildings are completely modern and very very glassy and shiny, if you look UP then suddenly you can be transported back a hundred years.

UP above those street level stores are the wonderfully imagined and decorated buildings from long ago.

In Perth, always take the time to look UP!

How does the word “UP” fire your imagination?

Friday Foto Finder; Still

On a still, airless morning, the leaves on the trees were still.

The river below was still and unruffled.

Until an adventurous duck decided to disturb a small part of the stillness

What have you found, still and quiet, deep in your Foto collection?
